CHANGES DUE TO COVID-19 OUTBREAK:

Our mission has always been to preserve life and property for our residents, all while maintaining the quality of life for all. The recent events have caused us to adapt from our normal operations. In an effort to protect our officers and allow us to continue to provide uninterrupted services, we’d like to outline some general changes to police responses for NON-EMERGENCY calls only.

POLICE STATION – Visitors to the police department will be restricted to the lobby area only.
NON-EMERGENCY REPORTING – To limit officer’s contact with the general public, we’d like to offer two ways of reporting non-emergency calls. As always, you can call the police department at 717-838-5276. We have also created a specific email account, reporting@nlondtwp.com, which can be used to communicate with us directly. Examples of a non-emergency call would be a telephone scam, parking complaints or ordinance violations.
MINOR ACCIDENTS – In the event you are involved in a non-injury crash and your vehicle is drivable, please exchange information with the other driver. You can certainly contact the police department and we will gladly provide you with a report number for your records.
FINGERPRINTING – Employment fingerprinting will be suspended until further notice. To be clear, the North Londonderry Township Police Department will still be on patrol, will still enforce laws and will still provide the public safety that we always have. The efforts outlined above will help minimize our department’s exposure to sickness and reduce our risk of having to make more drastic changes due to officers being home sick.

OUR MISSION

To be the model of excellence in policing by working in partnership with the community and others to fight crime, enforce laws while safeguarding the constitutional rights of all people and to provide quality service to all of our residents and visitors. In order to protect life and property, prevent crime and reduce fear of crime, we will provide service with understanding, response with compassion, performance with integrity and law enforcement with vision.
